Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements
A Prenuptial Agreement, also known as an “Antenuptial Agreement” is defined as a contract or arrangement by entered into before marriage to resolve issues of support, the division of property, income, inheritance and child support should the marriage come to an end.
A Postnuptial Agreement is a contract or accord entered into during the marriage that defines the property rights in the event of death or divorce. It is usually executed at a time when separation or divorce is not on the horizon.
